Individual, Family & Group Therapy

The goal of our Outpatient Counseling Center is to help our clients reach their full potential by maximizing their strengths and working around or remediating their challenges.  Many people are able to accomplish this through ongoing therapy.

Individual Therapy

Individual therapy is the most common type of counseling; clients may be more comfortable since there is more privacy than in a group setting. Individual therapy sessions serve as a time for individuals to meet one-on-one with an experienced therapist or counselor in a confidential setting. Clients often use this one-on-one time to process through their experiences in treatment, address any worries that arise, ask questions, and receive support.

Individual therapy offers several benefits:

  • Safe, quiet environments
  • Customized therapy schedules that work with the individual’s needs
  • Focused treatment designed specifically for the individual
  • A dedicated space where they can speak freely to their therapist

Family Therapy

Family Therapy is a counseling session with or without the client, with different members of a client’s family or identified support system.  These counseling sessions act as a catalyst to help nurture change and development within the family system. Our family therapy sessions help emphasize family relationships as an important factor in psychological health and working through challenges.

Additionally, these forms of therapy can help family members to become educated on what their loved one is going through and learn how they can best be of assistance to him or her. Family members and significant others are often considerably affected by the behavioral health condition of a loved one, and their involvement is critical to the healing process.

Group Therapy

Group therapy involves a group of usually two to ten people who share some basic similarities meeting regularly with a therapist.  The group environment helps promote acceptance and healing and offers the advantage of learning and socializing with peers who are experiencing similar problems. It also helps individuals realize that they are not alone in their struggles and helps develop important social networks that can last a lifetime.

If you or a loved one is in need of help with mental health concerns, behavioral health problems, or chemical dependency issues, please seek help. To learn more about how our outpatient therapy counseling services can help you, contact us today.
